Cookies
We use cookies. Cookies are small data records that are generated when websites are called up and that are stored on the computer of the respective user. With the aid of cookies, the web server can call up information that is used to make the usage of the website easier and more convenient for users or to make certain functions possible in the first place.
We do not use any cookies that enable the identification of specific individuals.
You can set your browser so that cookies are generally rejected or that you have to confirm the acceptance of cookies in each case. If you fundamentally decide against cookies, you may possibly not be able to use certain functions on the website.
The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains to you how you can prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how your browser can point out to you when you receive a new cookie and also how you can switch off all cookies received.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are saved on your computer and permit an analysis of your usage of the website.
The information generated by the cookie regarding your usage of this website is normally transferred to a server of Google in the US and saved there.
However, in the event of the IP anonymization being activated in this service, your IP address will be shortened beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a server of Google in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your usage of this service in order to compile reports on the website activities and to provide other services associated with the website usage and the Internet usage vis-à-vis the website operator.
The IP address communicated by your browser during Google Analytics will not be combined with other data of Google. You can prevent the installation of the cookies through a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, in this case, we point out that you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full in this case.
You can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Further information can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and at http://www.google.at/intl/de/policies/.
To guarantee an anonymised recording of IP addresses, Google Analytics was extended by the code “_anonymizeIp()” so that IP addresses are only processed further in shortened form in order to exclude any direct reference to a particular individual.
Individuals’ rights under GDPR
The GDPR creates some new rights for individuals and strengthens some of the rights that currently exist.
An individual’s rights under GDPR are:
- The right to be informed.
- The right of access.
- The right of rectification.
- The right to erasure.
- The right to restrict processing.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to object.
- Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling.
The right to be informed
This obligates the data controller’s need to provide at your request “fair processing information”, typically through a privacy notice such as this, in order to provide transparency over how License Consulting B.V. uses personal data.
The right of access
This right allows you to request confirmation that your data is being processed, access to your personal data, and the supplementary information that is provided in this privacy policy.

If License Consulting B.V. has disclosed your personal data to third parties, we must then inform them of the rectification where possible, and inform you about the third parties to whom your data has been disclosed, if appropriate.
The right to erasure
This is known as the “right to be forgotten”, and the principle underpinning this right is to enable an individual to request the deletion or removal of personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continuing processing. Some requests, however, can be refused for specific reasons as set out on the autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/en website. We may also have to retain some basic details to ensure we do not start processing your data again, should it be provided to us through a purchase of data.
The right to restrict processing
You have the right to “block” or suppress processing of personal data, i.e. request not to be contacted for marketing or information dispersal. In this case, your data would be retained to ensure that the restriction is respected in future.
The right to data portability
This right allows individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services, i.e. to move, copy or transfer personal data from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way (an example would be a bank allowing you to access your personal online banking data and then upload it to a price comparison website to compare and identify your best value banking options).

Individuals have a right to object (on “grounds relating to his or her particular situation”) to:
- processing of their data based on legitimate interests or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority (including profiling);

As long as your request is not manifestly unfounded or excessive, we will provide you with this information free of charge, within 30 days of receipt of your written request.
